GLMA Congress
On June 8, the Congress of the Association of Laboratory Medicine of Georgia was held at Tbilisi State Medical University.
The “Theatrical Hall” of the university was fully filled with people working in this field or in close cooperation with it and honored guests. Such activity of these people is very gratifying and promising, and most importantly, their desire to become a participant in the grand changes and innovations that are included in the future plans of the association.
The plans are many and varied: going to the international arena and joining the European family, scientific conferences, training meetings, online training courses, quality control monitoring, and national laboratory norms.
The chairman of the congress, Mrs. Nana Kochlavashvili, expressed full support on behalf of the medical university and wished us success in our future endeavors.

Ms. Tina Bukia was again elected as the president of the association. As for the members of the board, the majority of the candidates were actively involved in the organization of this important event of the association and in the implementation of business steps, therefore the candidacies presented by the president received unanimous support from the hall. 4 new colleagues from the regions of Georgia were added to the mentioned team, and this time it is represented by 24 members.
In short, there is an energetic team full of ideas under the leadership of Mrs. Tina Bukia and their numerous supporters at the starting line, and we hope to reach the finish line with the same attitude and real results.
